Peer Mentor Program

The purpose of the PKD Connect Peer to Peer Mentor Program is to connect patients, family members or friends with someone who can provide a shoulder to lean. Whether you or someone you care about has just been diagnosed or is getting ready for dialysis or a kidney transplant, PKD Connect mentors are here to help by listening to concerns and sharing similar experiences to ensure that no one feels alone. PKD Connect mentors are carefully selected and trained to provide support, guidance, and resources to help you manage living with PKD.

PKD Connect staff is dedicated to pairing mentors and mentees and to ensuring a successful relationship will develop so mentees will never have to feel alone during their journey with PKD. PKD Connect staff also provides PKD Connect mentors with regular mandatory training sessions to improve the quality of their services, as well as their knowledge and understanding of PKD.
